Preparing college students to share Christ for the rest of their lives.
Our vision is that every Christian college student be prepared to share Christ for the rest of their lives.
At Wheaton College, we take evangelism seriously as part of our Christ-centered mission.
Since November 4, 2005, Wheaton College’s president has appointed a committee of students, faculty, and staff that meets monthly to understand current issues, coordinate activities, and make recommendations for how we live out and instill evangelism into our community.
The Wheaton Evangelism Group’s purposes are:
1. To help our students remain clear on the gospel’s content and the nature of the evangelistic task.
2. To enhance campus understanding of the importance of evangelism in a Wheaton education.
3. To help students navigate the challenges of evangelism in a pluralistic world.
4. To encourage and facilitate the growth of evangelism among students, staff, and faculty.
5. To monitor, assess, and coordinate campus progress in building an appropriate emphasis on evangelism.
6. To provide the President with an annual report on the state of evangelism at Wheaton, including recommendations.
