Dr. Jason R. McConnell, M.Div., Th.M., D.Min., Director of Rural Church Institute
Dr. McConnell brings over 20 years of pastoral experience in rural churches. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, a Master of Divinity & a Master of Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Preaching from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama. He also serves in multiple academic and mentoring roles, including at Gordon-Conwell and the Rural Home Missionary Association. His appointment reflects a strong commitment to equipping rural churches to thrive and reach their communities for Christ.
Dr. McConnell is married to Jennifer and has four children: Sarah, Marcus, Duncan, and Matthias. In his spare time, he enjoys reading literature, listening to music, cooking gourmet meals, hiking, cycling, kayaking, fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, and visiting art museums.
