The Correctional Ministries Institute (CMI) Certificate Program provides specialized training in correctional ministry or reentry leadership. Students wishing to earn a certificate will complete 6 online courses (8 weeks each). The program can be completed in under 2 years.

What are the Views of Churchgoers regarding Prison Ministry?
In 2023, CMCA partnered with the Correctional Ministries Institute, Prison Fellowship and Kairos Prison Ministry International to sponsor an important Lifeway Research study:
Lifeway Research surveyed 1,006 American Protestant churchgoers in 2025 to explore their experience with Prison Ministry.
94% agree that formerly incarcerated people can
contribute to understanding the Gospel message.
50% report their church is not currently involved in prision ministry.
